A sample of past WRC meeting actions that have defended and expanded Amateur Radio privileges:

40 meters: moving international broadcasting up and out of ham band; doubling size of R1 (Europe/Africa) 40m band to 7.000 to 7.200

2 meters: continuing protection from loss of some or all of the band to land mobile or the mobile satellite services (“Little LEO”)

HF bands:  protection of hams as the primary users of HF bands

70 cm:  Protection of 70 cm from satellite borne synthetic aperture radar

Operator licensing: removal of Morse requirement, setting reasonable limits on spurious and out of band emissions.

New bands: 12m, 17m, 30m, 136 KHz, amateur satellite, new bands above 24 GHz
